OzRunways is a leading Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) used in Australia and now available internationally. It has been approved by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) under CASR 175. You can download the app now and enjoy a 1-month free trial. With OzRunways, you can conveniently download aeronautical publications onto your iPhone and iPad, allowing you to view your position on aviation maps.
The app provides properly licensed documents that ensure you stay up-to-date with the latest amendments for various regions, including Australian maps (VTC, VNC, WAC, ERC High/Low, and PCA), ERSA, DAPS, and AIP; New Zealand maps (ERC, VNC, Topographic 250k/50k, Vol 1-4, and LINZ Satellite maps); Latin America maps and approach charts; South African maps (500k/1M/250k aero maps, TPC, ONC, and OpenStreetMap); select European maps and charts; global custom-made OpenStreetMap with airspace; and SkyVector global ERC and VNC maps.
The app offers several features like weather radar with lightning information, live flight tracking over cellular network, weight & balance calculations, flight planner, display of aircraft position on selected approach plates and taxi diagrams, GPS moving maps using official databases worldwide, online and offline street address search functionality, offline access to all downloaded maps and charts, support for Apple AirPrint compatible printers for document printing, full-text search of AIP documents, flexible download options (on demand or all documents at once), annual subscription-based login ensuring you only pay for what you need when you need it, and a night-time mode on iPad to reduce screen brightness.
It is important to note that the use of OzRunways must comply with applicable aviation regulations. Additionally, please be aware that continued use of GPS running in the background can significantly reduce battery life.
